Black as Night Small Cutting Board
This board is NOT painted! The wood is Wenge. It is famous for its dark, often black, dense wood. It is Native to Central Africa and is an endangered tree. Don't worry, we get it from a legally sourced vendor. Because it is a very exotic, highly dense wood, it is extremely hard to work with. From the initial cut to routering the edges and finally sanding. All this said, that's why it is pricey.

While you can request any type of wood and all are listed, some types do not make good cutting boards as they are too "soft". Cutting boards are priced per sq inch and per type of wood.
